When Caltex needed a single source solution to upgrade flow of their diverse range of products into an existing load out gantry, Brockman Engineering’s one-stop-shop of all disciplines and services - combined with experience working safely in an operating plant -  produced the results.

Our work ultimately increased load out capability and gantry throughput for a diverse range of products including Diesel, Unleaded, Jet A1 and Alpine, and allowed for faster and constant fuelling of trucks.

As principal contractor (with electrical and civil specialists working for us), we delivered all disciplines for Caltex, including engineering checks and verifications of client supplied isometrics, supply, fabrication and installation of piping including electrical modification and upgrades, civil foundations and structural works (modifications to gantry foundation and, modifications to gantry structure).

Our work also included verifying dimensions and run locations, redrawing isometrics after surveying, fabrication, hydro rest and painting of spooling and install along with pumping station.

Completed in November 2013, our specialists were required to work in challenging conditions in an operating plant and we completed the job safely, with minimal impact on normal operations over an extended period of time.

The project culminated in two tie in shutdowns that were on time and on budget and our ability to design, fabricate and install extensive piping with only one site weld is testament to the teams skills and experience.
