When the NSW government decide to add fluoride to its water supplies, Brockman Engineering helped the department of Defence with a solution which met the new regulations, and also ensure the continued operations of the munitions factory.
Historically a clean and potable water supply to the township of Mulwala was also shared with a local munitions factory. When new guidelines were introduced for the fluoridation of drinking water, the munitions factory needed a solution to split the clean, potable water from the fluoridated water which is not suitable for use by the munitions factory.
Brockman engineering’s team designed, fabricated and constructed a new 5ML dedicated fluoridated water tank for the town supply, and provided maintenance services for the existing munitions factory water storage tank.
Our work included the foundation, coatings and cathodic protection system. Our team provided an experienced single source solution which met stringent pre-qualification requirements.
We are proud to have achieved FSC accreditation in a very short timeframe to enable pre-qualification to project award by the Department of Defence.
With major scope changes including asbestos contamination, Brockman’s team completed the project successfully and on time in July 2014.
